Roles at Levin & Tabon

Whether or not your goal is to become a CPA, you should include public accounting in your career search. Not only is it rewarding, but the opportunity to acquire valuable skills is faster than for accountants in other industries.

  • Interns are paid seasonal positions that give you an introduction and initial experience preparing individual income tax returns. University of Hawaii Maui College accounting students can earn academic credits through the campus Career Link office.

  • Staff Accountant is an entry level position performing bookkeeping and preparing individual and entity returns. Candidates include experienced tax preparers, AA and BA graduates in accounting programs.

  • Senior Accountant is generally reached after two years of experience. Responsible for more complex preparation and supervising staff accountants.

  • Tax Managers typically have 5 to 10 or more years of experience. Technically capable of the handling all returns and accounting issues, they supervise staff and seniors and manage client relationships.

  • Partners typically have 10 plus years of experience, are Hawaii licensed CPAs, are developing a loyal client base with trust and skills, and are self-starting entrepreneurs at heart.

  • Administrative Positions vary by role, and include office manager and administrative assistant.
